The ASEAN Ladies Circle (ALC) Coffee Morning for the month of July this year was kindly hosted by Madam Sarapee Kittichaiseri, wife of the Ambassador of Thailand in Tehran. It was held on Monday, 27 July 2009 at the Thai residence.
Most of the ALC members who are in Tehran attended the event, together with the Brunei and the Malaysian patrons. The occasion was also held especially to bid farewell to one of the patrons, Madam Datin Sharifah Ikhlas of Malaysia, who will be leaving Tehran soon to join her husband on a new assignment in Jakarta.
Apart from her, a few more ALC members were also scheduled to leave Tehran for good, among whom are Mrs Nguyen Thi Suu of Vietnam and Ibu Herni Josnita Faridah from Indonesia. Beside, the ALC also welcome a new member from Indonesia, Ibu Rini Daddy.
A special program prepared for the day was a cooking demonstration by a Thai specialist, on how to make a mock pomegranate (in place of chestnut) in a coconut syrup.
And as customary, the highlight of the morning was a raffle draw followed by a hospitable and sumptous Thai meal prepared especially for the guests.
Another great occasion for a get together to catch up with our ASEAN sisters in a mid summer days...
