Carpets of Qom...

elegance and grandeur...

Got these pictures from hubby during his recent visit to Qom city last week. During our previous trips to the city, never had the opportune time to explore the Grand bazaar. So when I saw some of his photos captured during his one-day tour with his diplomatic colleagues, I was so delighted to post and share herewith some of them, particularly the elegant images of its famed carpet and rugs.

Although the city is most famous for its religious fervour, the beauty and elegance of its rugs and carpets is a rising force in its reputation. Qom's carpets are so eloquently designed and the colors are simply celestial. Hence the saying goes...to own a Qom carpet of any size is to own a little piece of airy heaven...
