This month's ALC's coffee morning was kindly hosted by our graceful host, Madam ML Chiravattana Israbhakdi, wife of the Thai Ambassador in Tehran. It was held at their beautiful residence in downtown Tehran this morning.
As usual, the day began with a opening remark by the new ALC President, Mrs Siti Timah Mamat, followed by a welcoming remark by the host's patron Mdm Chiravattana.
The highlight of the morning was a rendition of a medley of songs called 'Love,' 'That's what friends are for' and 'Flowers for you' especially dedicated to our dear colleague and trailing spouse, Ibu Malinar of Indonesia, who will be leaving us and Tehran soon. Indeed it was a special farewell gathering to bid goodbye to our dear friend and one of the group's patrons.
A cooking demonstration of a special Thai cuisine called 'Kao Kreab Pak Mor' (Steamed rice crape with chicken stuffing) was also held before digging in and helping ourselves to a variety of Thai delicacies and sweets, prepared by our kind host.
Wassalam.
