Sungkai in Dubai...

Ramadan in Dubai

Salaam,
On our flight home for the Eid vacation, we stopped over in Dubai for a few days to accompany hubby on an official duty in Dubai. We were into the third week of Ramadan and the aura of the holy month can very much be felt everywhere.

Soon after checking in at an apartment hotel late afternoon yesterday, we immediately rushed to our favorite supermarket nearby for grocery and all the 'ketaisan liur' for the breaking of fast of 'iftar.'

We were later joined by our nephew and his family who were coincidently, also on a weekend break driving all the way from Muscat, Oman. It was indeed a blessed evening to remember, a mini family reunion and a 'sungkai' or breaking of fast away from both our homes and second homes.

Wassalam.
