Our new Neighbour...

Salaam,

Hola! Meet our new neigbour....'cumplir con nuestro nuevo vecino'...

Yesterday hubby and I had the opportunity to meet new friends and neighbour from South America, who had just moved to their new premises just next to our residence, about a month ago. The charming and affable couple paid us a 'courtesy call' visit yesterday afternoon and we spent a great deal of time over a afternoon tea, talking about each other's family, country and life in Tehran.

So, bienvenido el embajador y la Sra Caraballo...de Venezuela. It was such a great pleasure to have met them and looking forward to a great and lasting friendship. Best wishes to our great friends from Venezuela...Mejores deseos, unos buenos amigos de Venezuela...

Flowers and Sunshine...

Salaam,

It is still early summer days, and our little garden is already alive with blossoming flowers and fruit trees, just like in previous years. A beautiful sight and scenery, refreshing atmosphere and sunshine to spend our early morning and evening days.

My colorful 'Apam'...

Salaam,

It's Sunday and a public holiday again in Tehran today, to commemorate the 15 Khordad Uprising of 1963...

Woke up early again this morning to prepare another favorite breakfast treat... a popular home-made Brunei 'kuih' called 'apam'. I intentionally made it a little bit more colorful to brighten up the day. Indeed we did have a more colorful and enjoyful Sunday....thanks to my colorful apam...

Hakka Cheen Loong Pau...

As Salaam,

Made this lovely 'Hakka Cheen Loong Pau' for our breakfast this morning. I obtained the recipe from one of my favorite food bloggers and decided to give it a try. Alhamdulillah, it came out nicely and tasted like a 'real' pau. Not bad for a first attempt though.

Romanian Friendly Lunch...

As Salaam,

After a weekend of farewell dinner and receptions, and bidding goodbye to a great and close friend, its time to get back to our diplomatic routine yet again. And this afternoon, had the opportunity to unwind and meet with dear friends and the still remaining trailing spouses, at a friendly luncheon hosted by another great friend, Madame Adriana of Romania. In her short remark halfway through the lunch, our host, rather surprisingly also announced that some of our colleagues in the group, may also be leaving us soon. Hence, the lunch was meant to bid farewell in advance to all of them...our dear friend Dagmar, Venke and Isabelle.

Another great get-together among friends, old and new, and the opportunity to savour Romanian delectable cuisine, and hospitality.

Wassalam.
