Salaam,
In and Around Cardiff...late June/early July 2009, spent most of our leisure time exploring the city, its many landmarks and attractions, including the City Hall and the Central Railway station.
One of the main gateways to the city, Cardiff Central railway station is the largest railway stationin Wales with seven platforms, and one of the busiest in the UK. From here, it took us only approximately two hours train ride to London Paddington station when we left for the capital for a three-day visit in early July.
Another impressive landmark is the Cardiff City Hall. It is one of the institutions included in Cardiff Civic Centre in the centre of the city. The buildings are of white Portland stone and are classically designed with ornate sculptures standing amidst broad avenues and parkland. When we strolled around the park, we could see the beauty of the landscape with beds of summer flowers came alive with daffodils, cherry blossom and tulips.
Wassalam.
