Celebrating the 27th Anniversary...

As Salaam,
February 23...another auspicious day of the commemoration of our beloved nation's independence...
This year marks the 27th anniversary of our National Day. In Tehran, like in all our missions elsewhere, the joyous occasion was celebrated with a dinner reception at the city's grand Parsian Esteghlal hotel in the evening.
Negaraku Brunei Darussalam....may Allah the Almighty continue to bestow His choicest blessings to our beloved king and the nation, and all the rakyat of Brunei Darussalam with peace and prosperity, and may we all live happily ever after...Amin Ya Rabbal a'lamin....
Wassalam.

ALC Coffee Morning, February 2011...

As Salaam,
The first ASEAN Ladies Circle's Coffee Morning for the new year was kindly hosted by Mrs Gloria V. Dumia, wife of the Philippines CDA to Iran last Saturday February 19. It was held at the Philippines chancery off Vali Asr Street, Tehran.
The morning gathering began with an introductory remark from Mrs Angkana Sirivat, President of the ALC, followed by a welcoming speech from the host. A few new members from ASEAN member countries also introduced themselves. The highlight of the morning was an introduction of a skin and facial care product by an expert from the Philippines.
Another great opportunity to meet and catch up with all colleagues and friends from our ASEAN community in Tehran, after quite a long hiatus.
Wassalam.

Wonders of Qeshm...3

As Salaam,

Returning back from the island to Bandar Abbas later in the evening, we were then treated to a sumptuous seafood dinner at the vast and beautiful garden of Homa hotel. It was indeed a great occasion to savour real and authentic cuisine from the province whose main occupation and industry includes fishing. I reckon it was one of the best, if not the best seafood that we have ever tasted in Iran after six years. The aroma of steamed and fried red snappers, prawns and lobsters, fresh from the sea really made our day.

The beauty of the hotel landscape and scenery and the fresh sea breezes from the Persian Gulf really made our stay both in the mainland and the island a wonderful and unforgetable experience, despite the very tight program and other official commitment awaiting us in Tehran. We will certainly cherish our brief but fruitful trip to Qeshm and Bandar Abbas forever and hopefully would be able to come back again in the near future, In shaa Allah.

Wassalam.
