Ambuyat Feast

Salaam,
Last week, we were honored to have two officials from the Department of Welfare, Youth and Sports of Brunei Darussalam who were on an official mission to Tehran. They arrived in Tehran on the 12th and left on the 18th of August. But a great deal of their times were also spent in Isfahan and Mashhad. When they returned back to Tehran from Mashhad on Monday, they kindly accepted our invitation to have dinner at the resident.
It was a very special and enjoyable dinner. And it was also our first real taste of authentic Brunei Ambuyat cuisine since our last vacation in Brunei more than a year ago. And what made it so special was the arrival of fresh supplies of ingredients such as packages of new ambulung, 'jaruk binjai' and 'budu' as well as other related condiments such as bubuk karing and ikan pusu. All were made available, thanks to the kindness of our two guests who had burden themselves to kindly bring them all the way from home.
It was indeed an ambuyat feast to remember. The atmosphere was just perfect. As the saying goes ambuyat should be served and enjoyed with as many guests to make it even more merrier.
So, thank you once again our dear guests, for realising our longing and craving for a real ambuyat feast...in Tehran.
Wassalam.
