Arabic Bazaar, 23 april 2010, Tehran

Another charity bazaar to attend yet again. Organised by the Arab Diplomatic Ladies Group in Tehran, it was held at the residence of the Syrian ambassador in Zafaranieh district, north Tehran.
The bazaar was officially opened in the morning by Madam Hassan, wife of the esteemed Syrian ambassador. Visited the event in the morning just in time of the inauguration. Managed to meet and mingle with a couple of fellow trailing spouses and regular and familiar faces from the Arab group, the diplomatic corps, as well as our old and new Iranian friends.
As usual, according to my Omani friend, the proceeds from the bazaar will be donated to local charitable bodies and organisations, particularly the home of orphanage and children with cancers.
Judging from the enthusiastic participation of almost all of the Arab diplomatic missions in Tehran and the big turn out of visitors today, I must say it was a very successful event indeed. Mabrook to all my dear Arab colleagues and friends...
