Iftar @ Sumo...

Salaam,

Another great place for Japanese food lovers in Dubai is 'Sumo Sushi & Bento. It has few branches throughout the city, offering selectable choices of authentic Japanese cuisine.

On our second evening in Dubai, we decided to give it a try for our after-iftar dining. And the restaurant also happen to offer its customers a special Ramadan treat for family dining during the holy month.

Another great and wonderful evening out for us, our daughter and our nephew, niece and baby ziyad, and to also celebrate someone's birthday anniversary falling on an auspicious month, yet again.

Wassalam.

Sungkai in Dubai...

Ramadan in Dubai

Salaam,
On our flight home for the Eid vacation, we stopped over in Dubai for a few days to accompany hubby on an official duty in Dubai. We were into the third week of Ramadan and the aura of the holy month can very much be felt everywhere.

Soon after checking in at an apartment hotel late afternoon yesterday, we immediately rushed to our favorite supermarket nearby for grocery and all the 'ketaisan liur' for the breaking of fast of 'iftar.'

We were later joined by our nephew and his family who were coincidently, also on a weekend break driving all the way from Muscat, Oman. It was indeed a blessed evening to remember, a mini family reunion and a 'sungkai' or breaking of fast away from both our homes and second homes.

Wassalam.

Tehran, here I come again...

Salaam,

Spending quality times with our little daughter on her second summer vacation with us since arriving here last month. Being quite familiar with the city's life, traffic and antiquities (after spending well over four years of her schooling life at BST from 2005), so practically nothing much more for her to see around especially during these warm summer days... except spending our happy evenings and days reminiscing our good old days, teasing her barfi...and of course trying to finish up with her summer school homeworks...

Wassalam.

A Guest from Home...

Salaam,

Hosted our young guest from home who had come to Iran on a visit and staying over at the residence before leaving for her flight home yesterday evening. During her short stint here, managed to get acquainted and befriend our young daughter to add into her/our list of online pals. It was a pleasure to having her around and wishing her a pleasant and a safe journey home, we look forward to seeing her again perhaps in our Brunei Darussalam...

Wassalam.
