Just the Two of Us...

another anniversary in tehran...
Salaam,
Monday, June 28th...celebrating yet another birthday in a far away land...my sixth consecutive anniversary to be precise. Nothing much noting down today, just another normal day passing by...In the evening though, had a small celebration with hubby over my favorite and delicious cheesecake, specially designed into a birthday cake. And of course a bouquet of my favorite pink/orange roses from hubby for the special occasion. So this time, its "just the two of us" celebrating the auspicious day... It does remind me of a classic oldie, an original song by Bill Withers. And here are some excerpts of the song's lyric (chorus) which I love so much...
...Just the two of us
We can make it if we try
Just the two of us
Just the two of us
Building castles in the sky
Just the two of us
You and I
We look for love no time for tears
Wasted waters all that is
And it dont make no flowers grow
Good things might come to those who wait
Not for those who wait too late
We gotta go for all we know....
Just the two of us....
Thank you dear for the wonderful treat and the wonderful day...with all my love always...
Wassalam.

Shopping in Shoush...

Shush street...
Salaam,
Went to Shush or 'Shoush' with my Bruneian sister this morning to shop for some kitchen utensils. Located further south of Tehran, Shush is really a vibrant shopping neighborhood with new and old buildings merging together along a crowded streets and junctions. From locally-made glass products, stainless steel trays, decorative items to imported crystalware and porcelains, you could find almost all of your kitchenwares and utensils in Shush, provided you are prepared to look around the many shops and outlets in the simmering heat of summer days and the cool days of winter. Always our favorite spots for souvenirs hunting, Shush is really a place for great bargain and choices you can't hardly find in any other places in the city.
Wassalam.

Asean Bowling 2010...

Asean Bowling 2010
Salaam,
After a successful jogathon event last week, the next agenda in this year's Asean sport activities is the Asean bowling tournament. It was successfully held this morning at Tirajeh shopping and entertainment complex hosted by the Embassy of the Philippines in Tehran.
As in previous years, it was well-participated by all Asean missions, as well as their family members. Despite his impending departure for home upon completion of his tour of duty in Iran, the Philippines Ambassador had so kindly and graciously hosted the competition. Hence it was a fitting farewell gesture for him and an enjoyable get-together yet again for all the Asean family and community in Tehran.
We wish to take this opportunity to wish you 'bon voyage' and best wishes always and a pleasant journey home.
Wassalam.
