Spring is definitely in the air...

Salaam,

Arriving back in Tehran late evening at the end of March, we could already feel the pleasant warmth of early Spring time. The next morning weather was well above the average for the season with slightly cool breezes from the mountain ranges nearby. Over the weekend we could already enjoy the green and the flowers in our small garden which are already beginning to blossom.

The day also coincides with the end of the Persian New Year or Nowruz celebration, known locally as Sizdah Bedar or the 13th day, when Iranian goes out of their dwellings to spend the day in gardens and parks all over the country.

Iranian Spring is indeed one of the best and most beautiful season to be spent and enjoyed by any discerning local and foreign visitors alike. And for us, this is indeed our seventh year of spending and relishing the blessing and beauty of Spring in Tehran.

Wassalam.

A Long Way Back to Tehran...

As Salaam,

Its time to head back to our second home...after more than two weeks of eventful days, sorrowful moment and spending quality times with loved ones. Since it was still a long Nowruz holiday in Iran, there were hardly any seats available on any flights from Dubai to Tehran. Hence we have to settle for a additional transit and a three-hour stop-over in Doha, on Qatar Airways, before finally made it to Tehran in the evening of the last day of March.

A tribute to beloved sis-in-law...

As Salaam,

At 1.10 am, Monday 14 March 2011... 9 Rabiulakhir 1432... A tragic moment and a day of bereavement for dear hubby's family. My dearest and beloved sister-in-law, late Dk. Zohriah, passed away peacefully at RIPAS hospital. Innalillahi wa'inna ilaihiraa ji'uun...

Went home on an emergency flight from Tehran two days earlier, arriving home on Saturday March 12, we managed to pay her a few visits until that fateful Sunday night when most of hubby's family members gathered at her bedside to be with her for the very last time.

Watching them grieved, cried and mourned, my heart breaks with out a sound. Wonder how does a family get through such a hard times.

To a dearest and beloved sis-in-law, and the pain I know your family, including my hubby, is going through...

We'll still love you the same as if you were still with us. We'll remember laughing together during the good times and crying during the hard times too. We'll miss you forever dearest sis-in-law...

You are greatly loved and greatly missed. We will keep your memory alive, forever...

May Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala granted His blessings to your soul always, and may your soul rest in eternal peace in His Heaven....Amin Ya Rabbal 'Alamin, Al-Fatihah...

Guests from Home...3

As Salaam,

It was barely two months into the new year and we are fortunate enough to already have three different groups of visitors from home coming to town. This time it was indeed such a great pleasure to have the opportunity again of meeting and entertaining an old colleague and a young lady friend (who also happen to be our neighbour) who have just arrived in Tehran two days ago on an official mission. Looking forward to see you guys again back home or perhaps in Tehran whenever the opportunity may arise...InsyaAllah.

Wassalam.
