Salaam,
Winters in most parts of Iran can be unpleasantly cold. And around Tehran the climate varies. While the city can be hot, dry and stuffy in summer, winters can be very very chilly, especially at night. Winter month in Iran usually begins from December until February.
Having lived through four winter seasons in Tehran, we have been so blessed to have gone through and Alhamdulillah, able to endure four snowy and freezingly cold winter days. And ever since our arrival here, I reckon last year’s downpour was the heaviest, when many major roads and highways came to a standstill for several days. In many parts of Tehran, it was snowing almost persistently throughout January. Remnants of the white flakes can still be seen all over the city’s parks and gardens even a month after. Temperatures tend to drop even further during the night. Within hours our small and modest front garden was transformed into some kind of an ice-field…or ski resort.
Well, its a pleasure to share with you some of the images taken over the last three winters in Tehran…
