Family Day @ Bargh-e Karaj...

Salaam,
Once again we're kindly invited to the 1 million sq meter beautiful garden of our gracious host and hostess in Karaj today, March 22. Still on the second day of the Nowruz holiday, most of the streets and highways leading up to this suburb of Tehran, were almost deserted. Our last visit was more than a year ago, during the summer of 2008. This time around it was more of a family day out and gathering, with some of our Malaysian colleagues and their families joining us for a well-deserved break and a time to unwind from our daily routine of work and congestion in the city.
It was an unpredictably cold day with plenty of sunshine though. Nonetheless, for us and the children in particular, it was indeed a pleasant and delightful outing, enjoying the bbq, the chipping and the futsal games, and above all, admiring and rendezvous-ing with the beauties of nature at Bargh-e Karaj.
Wassalam.
